Testing my new Nikon AF-S 50mm 1.4G

Nice. I have the 50mm 1.8 and it's great due to the tiny size. The only down side is the 1.5 crop factor turning it into a 75mm lens, which makes it hard to use indoors

Yo Dave! That can't be why you haven't posted any new pictures :P

but am with you. so i looked at sigma 30mm 1.4 HSM but decided not to hoping I will upgrade the body soon given the camera gears shopping frenzy am on.

I have the Sigma 30mm 1.4 too - but that's a little heavy.

If you want a non-crop body you'll have to look at the D700, no? I haven't managed to persuade my conscience that I need that yet :-)
