More South Indian backwaters memories

the four sisyas I went with to the west coast - vp, doctor, siddz n sush from left to right. Sure you'll recognize them when u see them the next time n say hello!

Shot from outside our resort at Maravanthe

Shot from the cruiser boat on the backwaters. Simply scenic and serene.

Not common - a solo banana plant?! I thought they were popular for their joint family culture.

The red canoe.

Karu this one's for you. Another green flushed shot from the mangrove. It's my favorite too under the green-saturated tag.
Not so proudly presenting - this broken down truck is parked on the national highway, NH 17 that separates the backwaters from the Arabian sea at Maravanthe. This is a common sight in much of India today - however, these pics could soon only be found in the archives, given the rate at which things are changing. The message over 'Please' at the rear of this truck reads in Hindi - My India is great. You can see why :-)

Incidentally yes! All of them were shot in the evening. The backwaters cruise was just before dusk and then we were there at the shore (other side of the highway) for the sunset. So you are right

:)
