Jungle Resorts and Lodges, BR Hills

Couple of days well spent at BR Hills K Gudi resort - rekindling nostalgic memories of my visit in my teens with a big bunch of mates from college. This time though I was satisfied I managed to get a few nice pics and in fact was actually the first time I got to put my little camera equipment to use in the wild woods.

Jungle resorts and Lodges at K Gudi is a great holiday for anyone really. Such well done tents and cottages with real good service and food, and the best part being any number of open jeep safari's you'll be taken out on - all this for a decent price. Although, apparently all the wild cats now know very well where these safari jeeps run and have decided to hide from them.

When I came to the UK, one of the first things I was notably impressed was with the way people document things here. I was overly pleased when I wanted to take a walk in my local park at Bristol and happened to find trails described in great detail on the internet that really makes only for a easy 10 min walk around the corner of my house. And then all those countless websites with free info about walking trails across the nation giving metre by metre detail - phew! Unlike that, in India there isn't a lot of documented information even about a popular travel hot spot. Although, off late with the blogging culture and the IT crowd, there're more and more journals written online that get handy for those who are too fussy about planning a lot before a trip. Cause I don't remember planning trips in India when I was a kid, only remember simply executing them on the go - buying tickets from the train TC and asking the rickshaw guy on arrival to recommend a good lodge that aint showing a 'house full' board etc. Anyway, hope google lists pages like these on the top if there aint too many pics showing the hammocks at JLR BR hills :-)

Below two are in the shows at London Motorcycle Show, the arena totally dark and the stunts were not too different from those at a circus. Least impressive part of the fair, but a good photo oppo huh!

Below's Terry Grant trying to take on the top gear's famous challenge of changing tyres with in around 3 mins, although this time on his stunt car thats spinning in circles with its steering locked.

And, Just when you think life's so good they remind you not to get too excited.

Saturday Sunset Shots

The visibility has been good these days at London especially if I recall that mini fog season we had during Christmas. The sunset this evening was a treat to the eyes. I am glad I carried my camera along and even more glad that I managed another series of shots that's resulted in a decent panoramic picture of the sunset over the skyline of central London. I however egret the rather amateurish stitch work of the pics, I ain't got no good editing software man! Any advice on which's good at stitching and editing the seams?

That had to remind me about my trip to this island called Nethrani off the shores of Karnataka, South India and the spectacular sunset we witnessed on the way back.
nb - Look closely on the horizon about an inch left to the sun, the island can be seen.
