Hey! I still blog!

Looking forward to nothing is not something I like looking forward to. That's the state I am in and what a life saver, I blog!

No - Trust me I still like to do! Admit I've disappeared for a while. But I've missed ya bunch.. all you err...fictious readers...

Here's a lousy analogy to amuse some of you real life readers - my act of blogging is like bathroom singing. I mean normally bathroom singing is a way of entertaining self right... well yeah I used to do that to annoy neighbours in the past ...but this is not part of the analogy - am not trying to annoy anyone here.

Anyways if this has sounded like a generally happy bloke trying to moan in vein - how abt ya all leave me some sweet comments? If not this ramble hope these pic make you *welcome to my blog revival*

....a good bye to winter 07, well hopefully

Editing unleashed

This post is to mark the beginning of a series of highly edited pictures. I’ve never been good at digital editing but the missus has taken over (following a new found interest in graphic design), this one being the first of the makes-me-wanna-blog kinds

Is the candle prettier or the chrysanthemums?

After a nail biting competition Neil takes the first place in the opening episode of my ‘name the flower’ contest which featured the passion flower in my previous post, and Dave misses narrowly to become the runner up. Congratulations both of you.

What flower is this?

Whoever guesses it right will get a special mention in my next post :-)

Cultural Colours of London

I made a casual evening visit to the Trafalgar square after work last Thursday and watched some performances that are ongoing as a part of this year's summer festival that 'sets out to express London’s creative connections with India'. Below are a couple of pictures of this performance called JUGGERNAUT. It was truly spectacular.

British GrandPrix 2007 - Who am I cheering for?

Isn't the joy and glow on my face obvious?

Moto GP

My first time at any motoGP or any international level motorbike race for that matter, was exceeding my expectations. To add to the fun, I had the chance to ride up to Donnington with 3 friends from work. In the fleet were 2 cbr 600’s including mine, one hornet 600 and one brand new gsxr. I recorded my fastest time ever on a motorbike but that was 20mph less than what my friend on another CBR clocked. He was 4mph below the top speed of CBR 600 on road!

However the ride back to London from west midlands was worse than ever, with rains that’s flooded the whole island in the last few days and of course, the traffic from hell.

Lost in music

This is a pic of Dr Jyotsna Srikanth’s lighting speed fingering in action on the violin

I felt rejuvenated like never before by Sindhu Bhairavi raga on violin. Is that a particularly well-loved combination?

Context – Carnatic Music

Artist - Dr. Jyotsna’s myspace - the link contains an embedded piece of music by her.

More about this eclectic, multitalented, renowned artist and an inspiring individual in another post.
